Open Question: I have a unpaid tuiton? Can i pay with a student loan?
I left school about two and a half years ago for personal issue. I got cut off from my dad, and i had no way to continue my education. I was an international student at that time. I just became a permanent resident. I was ready to go back to school to become a nurse. However, I just found out that i have an unpaid tuition at the university that i used to go to. I want to go to community college to do my pre-req’s to go to nursing program. I know I am eligible to get a financial aid and student loan, but I can’;t get my transcript until i pay it off ($1500). I don’t know what to do. Does anyone know if i will be able to take classes at community college to do pre-req’s without giving them my transcript? And is there any way for me to get a studemt loan to pay it off? Please help!!
Open Question: I owe on a college loan, not federal, will they still garnish my income tax?
Open Question: Its January, I’m a senior in high school, and I still haven’t done college stuff, is this a big deal?
My mom has no job and my dad refuses to help me, I stay with a friend and don’t have a job or a car. I have no money for college what so ever and I still haven’t done a FAFSA application. I know there are loans out there for me but I still don’t even know what I want to do in life. Is it really a big deal if I haven’t applied to any colleges when I don’t know where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing once I graduate. I would like to go to UNLV but the application costs 60 dollars and I can’t afford that right now because whatever little money I manage goes to bills and food. Would it be better to start college during the second semester? Or the next year? I want to move to Nevada and live with my boyfriend (I know, be careful of being dependent when we might break up but remember I don’t have a choice of where else to go, plus we’re the same age) and get a job but I haven’t even begun to think about college. I want to go but is it really a big deal right after school?
Can I get some help? Personal experience? Something?
I’m just really worried, all my friends are applying, some have even got into college, but I’ve got so much other stuff to do that I haven’t even thought about college. I’m steady in school but college isn’t on my mind. Is this bad?
Now that the debt bubble and student loan ponzi scheme has imploded & the HELOC money is gone, will stupid debt-fueled college tuitions collapse too?
